Yea, glocals.com is very big in GVA and is starting to be big in Zurich, but we're still tiny in Bern. But all that is about to change, now that you've arrived in glocals Bern...(-:

So what are you 1st impressions on Bern? Are there lots of exapts there?

Welcome to Bern and Switzerland. Yes, there is nothing going on with glocals in Bern. I do not know why the people are on the site here in Bern. I lived in Geneva before and participated in lots of activities. I moved to Bern and tried to get something running withe the Bern community but they did not respond. A pity! So I gave up. But have a try, maybe you are lucky!

Hi Mirta and Muneeb

The glocals Bern community is still small, and organizing activities in a small community is hard work, cause it seems that no one is willing to join...

It was the same with the Geneva community, then the Lausanne community, and then the Zurich community - but now, all 3 of the above cities are pretty lively.

All it really takes is 2 or 3 people posting activities, and the rest of the people will start joining in.  At first, you will get 1 or 2 people joining your activities, but then, slowly, more and more people will join.

So Mirta - I understand your frustration, but please don't give up - there are a ton of people sitting at home wondering why there is nothing to do, and at some point, they will realize that joining an activity is a great way to meet others and to start enjoying Bern.

If you guys (Mirta / Muneeb) post some Member-Activities in Bern, we'll email them to all Bern members, to ensure more people see them.

40 Glocalers in Zurich and nothing going on organizing...



So here is a tip guys...



Try and post something on a weekly basis...Maybe a Midweek drinks event...



People will start realizing about the activities and they will join..



Let me share a secret...My first 2 activities were attend by just 3 people...

Me, Myself and I :P

Hi Franziska

Congrats on taking the initiative and posting the 'Bern Mid-Week Drinks' in Member Activities.

Since the Bern community is a bit 'sleepy', I sent an email to all Bern glocals telling them about the drinks.

Hopefully, a few people will join this time and we can get the ball rolling.
