Hi there...another newbie ;-)

Hi,

I'm Melanie and I arrived in Geneva only one week ago. I'm a student and doing an internship here until the end of this year.

I am a pretty easy-going person and like to meet people from all over the world!

Well, I'm interested in a lot of different things like traveling, speaking different languages (German, English, French, some Spanish and Italian) doing sports (I play tennis, like swimming, hiking, volleyball, skiing and of course watching the soccer worldcup ), going out for drinks or just exploring Geneva and its surroundings.

I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of interesting, new people!

Hi Melanie,

Welcome to Geneva and glocals!! Check the "things to do" and the "Groups" section to find events and activities and get you on your way to meeting people and knowing Geneva.

I'm sure by now you've had the chance to visit the old town?

Come back here to the forum if you have any questions, helpful people around here, so posting (also doing searches in the forums) will get you all the answers you need. Messaging people also works, so don't hesitate.

Hi Melanie,

I will be a newbie in Geneva too from 21st June, also doing an internship. I also love travelling and languages and it would be great to meet some people in Geneva to explore together!

Hi Melanie,

I arrived here two weeks ago! I am working for a family so its hard to meet other people to go out with, I've been checking online tonight for clubs, bars, music venues etc and found a few promising things.

Next weekend there is a music festival on, I dont know if there is anything posted on here about it but would be good if a few people wanted to get together for a meet, maybe some fellow newbies? :-)

Hi Folks,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your time and world cup matches. Initially I'm new to the forum and Geneva as well. I would like to join any group of people if they welcome me and this would be highly appreciated, I totally understand that it's not easy to accept a strnager and make him join your group, but it's a fact which I can't deny it and all what I have to say that I hope to find a group of nice people

i'm drupad.. ive been in geneva for almost 6-7 months now.. i know how hard it is to settle into a new place..

i love to meet new people and hear about their experiences in different countries.. if anyone wants to meet up then we can make a plan.. theres lots of things to do and we dont really need to wait for the weekend ;)
