Great that there’s such a site! I’v been in Basel since two years but very new to Glocals and really looking forward to meeting some of you. I’m originally from Sri Lanka but studied and lived in Vienna until I moved to Switzerland in 2006. I love it here … especially with all those mountains - not so far away to reach. I love swimming, hiking, nature, movies and good food … so if any of you share these interests, you know what to do.
I’m working for an NGO in Biel/Bienne in the field of international cooperation. Well yes …. I do travel from Basel to Biel regularly but now that I have a small room in a WG in Biel I don’t have to travel that often.

nice to see a new and enthusiastic member from our B-B-B region! Your region is slowing starting to pick up with more and more folks joining, but you can certainly improve by recruiting friends to join up! and if you ever have events there for those of us in Geneva / Lausanne area to come join, do let us know. :)
Basel is one of many places I've been wanting to yet and been meaning to visit, so I just may head there one of these weekends and come say 'hi'. I hear they have lots of art museums there.
