I would like to work in Switzerland.

Dear all members,

I have just completed my postgraduate studies in the UK. Now I would like to come to Switzerland to get a job. I would particularly be interested in a Finance related one.

I do not speak German nor French. I speak Italian, as a native, and a fluent English.

Do you have any advice? Do you suggest me to move?Or shall I apply for jobs from my country?

Thanks,

Claudio

Post 1

Look in Ticino, as an obvious first step.

Alternatively, most bulge bracket banks here have English as a business language, both in Geneva and Zurich.

The downside of course is that many banks here have hire freezes on, and added to that, relocation etc is normally only paid for "experienced hires". As a post grad to get a job here you will have to finance your own move, which is very expensive.

Have a look on www.efinancialcareers.ch and use the search filter by country, it will give you a starting base of who is hiring what type of post grads, if at all.

Good luck.
