I am new to basel and arrived couple of weeks ago from India.
" Without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods."-Following these magical words, I am also looking to build a network of friends here.
I would love to meet people for exploring the city, going out for drinking or doing some outdoor activities on the weekends.

I live in Geneva, but hear Basel is dominated by Pharma companies who employ most of Basel's expats. Is that really so?

Yes, you are right.Basel has many pharma companies and so far what i have observed is in line with your knowledge :)
