Ha ha, loved the "I promise I'm not an awkward nerd" bit. No shame in computer science, I say! :P

There's a bunch of things to do in the coming two weeks in Geneva, thanks to the Fete de Geneve.

1. Mini fireworks today, and then grand fireworks next week.

2. Free (and usually good) concerts in Parc La Grange (I've been there Wednesdays and Fridays, but there may be more on other days that I don't know about)

3. Near Baby Plage: Bands playing every night, makeshift rides, the works.

At the tropical corder wakeboard/windsurf club just after geneve plage. once you go in its the bar on the left (the left is all the windsurfing and paddleboards, the right one for wakeboarding). http://www.trop.ch/home.php

I went at preverenges beach near Morges. I would definitely do it again if you want go go sometime!

No problem. I studied in Lausanne (Unil, HEC in Information Systems--> not a nerd I promise...) and I work in Geneva and of course i know some good places. I've never tried paddleboarding, so why not...
