Geneva is the one place in the world that I feel balanced and happy. It just seems so right. I lived here (Vesenaz) just over a year previously but was much younger and didn't appreciate how cool Geneva really is. Now after visiting again for 5 days, I want to move to Geneva permanently. So I'm contacting recruiters as we speak (is email speaking?).
While here I was able to find an expert hiker/tracker/agrarian/historian and he sculpted a wonder full day walking tour through the small villages, vineyards, woods, cross rivers around Geneva. More importantly we had a great gourmet picnic with the best selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, breads and wine from this region. I don't think I ever had a nicer day. The next day we were up the Saleve. Yep on top we had another gourmet picnic but a little lighter on the wine (Wanted to hike back down not fall down ;-)

Hello Dougcall and welcome back. Happy to hear (do we hear posts?) that you are able to make the most of life. And if you liked Geneva in those antique days when GOL/Glocals didn’t exist, what will it be now! Your expert hiker/tracker/agrarian/historian seems to be a valuable person too. You should definitely bring him into the community.
See you
See you

You can be assured that I will be taking at least two full day (7 hour) walking tours in middle of May in the beautiful Geneva area. One of them will be through the Jura mountains and another will be through the valleys small villages, vineyards and forests again. I will invite Pierre (the expert hiker and tour designer) to one of the Glocals activities so he can meet with a number of members. I'll and also ask him to check out Glocals.com (since he lives about 20 minutes away from Geneva right now) and see if he would join.

I just contacted one of the people who work at the company I went to for the custom tailored Fitness Country Walk and up the Saleve. I let you know what she says.
