Hello All!
Stll living in the US. My wife really wants to move to Geneva. She is trying to get a job with WHO or any other organization as an epidemiologist. As for me, I joined glocals in attempt to find guidance in what I can do for work in Geneva. From everything I've read, it seems very difficult for someone from the States to just move there and find a job. Right now, I am a Police Detective full-time and a freelance Videographer/Editor on the side (I know...weird combo).
Any input would be appreciated. I'm just trying to find out more info. Assume I know nothing about moving to, working in, or living in Geneva.

Hey Lex,
Welcome (soon, maybe) to Geneva, to you and the Mrs.
You will indeed likely have a hard time finding work here, but it's not impossible. Here are the toplines.
1. The difficulties come from 2 places:- getting a local work permit. A local company needs to apply for a permit for you, and to get it they need to go throgh a bit of a heavy process, and prove that you can do for them someone that a local person can't. - finding a job, even if had a permit. Un-employment here is low (under 5%), but there's still not many jobs around.
2. Your best bets are to apply for some of the Multinationals around here, cos they're used to hiring foreigners, and cos they need English speakers. There are not many detective agencies here (I jest). But the big boys here are Procter & Gamble, Yahoo, the UN, Electronic Arts, Caterpillar, and Dupont.
Re video, I suggest you conact member JMfromTO. He's a Canadian Video man that moved to Geneva several months ago, and he could give you some 1st hand advice.
Let me know if I can help with any more info bro.
Nir
