Moving to Geneva! But still without accomodation

Hi guys!

I am a 28 year old soon-to-be PhD student (biology). I am really looking forward to live in that beautiful city! I am a passionate climber/alpinist and therefore I love to travel and meet new people. So if someone knows the climbing crags around or is keen to go to Chamonix etc don't hesitate to contact me. Apropos, if the weather is bad I would like to know good coffee places in town.

Unfortunately, housing in Geneva is much more complicated than I expected. I would really appreciate any hints and tips!

Cheers

Manu

Try looking at house/flat shares or try www.airbnb.com for somewhere to stay for a week or so, its cheaper than hotels and will give you time to get a feel of the city and the average prices and things. Good luck!

For accommodation remember that France is cheaper, so don't hesitate to look beyond the border.

Hi Manuel!

Hope you have found accomodation. At Univ. you can find some advertisements as well, and they are not so expensive...

Welcome!

Hi Patricia, thanks for your tip!

Luckily, I found a room. It took my quite a while but in the end it worked :)
