Moving to Geneva in Oct
Hi all,

This site is a goldmine! I'm moving over to Geneva from the UK in about 5 weeks, and I'm trying to find somewhere to live (forget about everything else til that's sorted!) and this site is by far and away the best so far. Also seems quite sociable! So I thought I'd write a quick note to say hi!

Cheers,

Andrew

Welcome to Glocals! You are right about describing this website as a goldmine! I am also from the UK and have found this website to be a great help to life in Switzerland. Hope everything works out well with the apartment search. Best wishes, Phil.

It's amazing to see so many people strugling with the accomodation issue....still, chin up everyone, I'm sure it'll make it sweeter when we all get sorted!

Cheers,

Andy

can be a nightmare around here but keep at it - often finding out from colleagues of apartments that are becoming vacant is a good way of getting in there first as it can be a bit of a race.
Saying that at least you could get somewhere intially that may not fit the bill entirely and look for something later at a more leisurely pace.
Anyway good luck in the hunting - may be like buses, wait for ages then 2 come along. Acually no I am remembering the UK - much more relable in Switzerland!
