Hey everybody. I moved to Geneva a little over 2 weeks ago and figured I'd post here. I'm a web app developer (working remotely for a client back in the states) and musician (formerly full time, now in all my free time - brought my Martin backpacker guitar!). So far I'm loving the city and would like to meet new friends, musicians, creatives, hiking/biking/skiing partners, etc.. Looking forward to getting more involved in this forum.

Welcome to the area Ben, I am also new to G-locals but have lived in the area for many many years. There is a great music festival in Geneva every year and although I am not a musician, I know that there is quite a community. I have a distant friend who more in that world, if you like I can ask him for a few tips as to what you should check out.

Hey Ben I just saw your message here. I wonder how you're getting on finding some music folk here in Switzerland? I am living in Lausanne and was a full time musician in Edinburgh but now I work as a language teacher but am looking to start up music part time here and wondered if you'd be interested in a collaboration?

I am a CS Engineer working in Lausanne, originally from Ireland. I have been playing bass for 12 years and would be very interested in joining a group. I used to playing in wedding bands and orchestra's but all open to all genres. Also do a little backing vocals.

Welcome to Switzerland, I've been here for 8 years but new to Geneva city as well. I work in pharmaceuticals. I am not a professional musician; however, I started playing drums on my own 2 years ago. I might be a mid-level drummer or a little bit lower. I played in a band some rock. It was fun and I am willing to play part time again in Geneva.

I've been in Geneva a couple of years. I was playing bass with a some other musicians over last winter but we haven't managed to play since the summer. I played and toured in a long lasting band at Uni but had a break until recently. Open to most music styles if you are looking for musicians to play with next year Cheers.
