I could advice you to visit on Theusday bar  Halles de lile http://www.brasseriedeshallesdelile.ch/ it's not fare from Stand (very central) = All young (25-40) paople of Geneva usually there. Nice place, with bar music and even restaurant

Later usually ppl goes to Le baroque (club) quite expancive,

also nice bar is Lady Godiva, beer, football, parties...

actually what do you like to do? maybe it would be more easy you will tell me what is your preferences and I would say you whwre you could go?

Thanks for your feedback and in terms of locations, I'm looking for bars / clubs with good music (e.g. electro & dance)...

I think you gave already a few hints but are those for Thursday only?

La Sip is good for a weekend.. 2 floors - bar with DJ on the first floor, and dancepol on the second. 

What district are u located in Geneva? 

In Paquis you have Palaic de Mascotte - funny place 3 floors (but strange music - nostalgi :)) 

Also Gava - glamour place? very expancive and "porche"

In Carouge you have quite fomous bar Chat Noire... 

I would prefer actually to talk in the chat, this option doesnt make a text spell :))

You can check bars on the rue de l'école de médecine, or la parfumerie rue gravière, bars in carouge around rue vautier are also nice.

It really depends of your style actually, like in every city you can find some underground or fancy places.

I know more about cozy coffee/bars if you wanted more infos on that
