New US ex-pat in Geneva
Hello (Bonjour),

I am moving to Geneva from Atlanta, GA, USA in late July for a two year work assignment for work. I am very excited about living in a francophone culture to improve my French, be in europe, meet new people, and travel to fabulous places.

glocals.com seems pretty neat - hope to find some useful information from the users. Everyone seems very friendly.

Best regards,

Beofotch

Just in case you don't know: Friday is the Swiss National Day so supermarkets etc. will be closed.

Having once arrived in Jerusalem on sabbat, I know how disappointing it can be to have the first encounter with a closed-down city....

Have a nice flight and do enjoy setting up life here in Geneva, though.

Howdy!

I guess you are on the ground now! Hope you had a good flight.

Welcome to Switzerland! Which sounds a bit odd, coming from me, as I'm still sitting in Russia. But, I'll be there soon.

Good luck!

YouMeCo,

Yes, I'll be here next week. When/why are you coming to Moscow? I have a Moscow guide book or two you could use. Lonely Planet, I think.
