Hi virgina - a welcome in Basel - Im sure if you are still young not only young at heart you will somehow get a job depending what kind of job you are looking for, especially Italian is one of the official Swiss Languages so you have a good chance of getting one but if you just write that you're looking for a job its very difficult to tell what kind of job you are looking for.
However have a great stay and I know Basel have a great Italian Community and you should soon get some Vitamin B - and everything will be fine.
