Hello People, how about going to Lugano by train, I ve been there now a couple of times, it is beautiful and much to do there...

Keep in mind if you want to travel within Swizterland, you should definitly get one of these cards, i think it's about 150CHF but you get to pay half price for all your train tickets, and if you are under 25, you can travel for free after 7pm.

If you want to travel cheap and dont have that SBB Abo you can buy a day ticket and you can use it for 1 day anywhere around Switzerland - its called Tageskarte - well day cart . Its between sFr. 35.-- and sFr. 40.-- depending where you live. Just go to your municipality or you can even order it online. Here is a link.

The best thing to do is check the Things To Do link at the top and also to find some (active) groups to join. You can also post an event to find others to join you.

Right now in Geneva, there are three major events: CineTransat, Fete de Geneve and free concerts at Parc La Grange. There are frequent drinks at La Terrasse and other locations. Volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, etc. 

Again, welcome and sign up for things. We'll be going out on Thursday night to see The Shawshank Redemption, for instance.

Travel & Partying this Saturday 18th. We are 2 open minded party loving friends leaving at 8am for a day trip from Geneva in my car. We go to Gruyere (cheese factory), then Thun, Spiez, Interlaken (picnic, swim, sightseeing..) & finally party in Lausanne till late. 2-3 ladies may join us, why ladies? just for a balance, thats all. How are you doing? How is your search in meeting new people going? I'm not extremely new in Geneva,(been here for around two years) but I'm very new in glocals.

From the experience that you've had until now, do you have any suggestions for someone that hasn't been around a lot (lots of work+girlfriend don't leave too much time to go out and meet new folks)
