Welcome!
The old town (place bourg du four and grand rue) as well as the area between Bel Air and Rive is probably the most popular for bars / restauration. Some places you might like: Halles de l'Ile..
The west side of Plainpalais (rue ecole de medecine) has a lot going on but the age level is typically lower as well.
Paquis is a seedy neighborhood but has some good restaurants.
