about a week ago I moved from southern Germany to Geneva to do my PhD at CERN.
I'm looking forward to meeting new people, discover the city, have some drinks and go out. I'm also very interested in outdoor sports like hiking and jogging but especially mountainbiking. So if anyone is looking for a partner to do some of these activities, just let me know.

You've come to the right place. Look at Things to Do to find activites that people have posted (drinks, Curry Night, sports to play, sports to watch, movie clubs, language clubs) or post something you want to do and invite others to join you.
Have questions about housing, where to shop on Sundays, or various services? Ask a question in the Forums and the wisdom of the group will help you out. (They will also tailspin into off-topic hissy fits, sometimes, but hey, that can be entertaining)
Join Groups or start your own.
You won't be disappointed. Geneva is a great place and glocals will help you discover how and why faster.
