New in Town

Hi to everyone!

Happy to become a part of the community! I will arrive in Geneva on Monday afternoon wearing my "I-am-terribly-lost-help" face, and ready to dive into all that setting up a new (temporary) life requires: hunting for an apartment, buying a new SIM card, decoding the enigma of public transit, etc., etc. Anyhow, I really like playing/listening to music, nature walks, photography, drinks on a patio in the sun - all the good stuff :) I'm looking forward to exploring this site/the city over the next few months, and hopefuily getting to know the people a bit too!

Cheers,

Denis

Hi Denis,

Sounds pretty exciting! I'll be in the same situation in about a month. Good to know that there are other people too who are ariving without having found a room before :)

What are you gonna be doing in Geneve?

Best,

Daniel

I'll be interning at IOM come September! But until then, mostly I'm playing with giant chess pieces at Parc des Bastions and laying about in Geneva's parks (when it's not raining). What about you?

Hey, that lucky you, I'm still caught up in the crazyness of trying to find a room there while residing in the Netherlands. Other than that just working and writing my master thesis. I'll be an intern at the German embassy but will probably work with the German representative to the ILO during my time there.

How long have you been in Geneva and how did you find a room? What is you job there gonna look like?
