New in Vevey

Hello

I have been living in Vevey since the beginning of October, working in Lausanne, and would love to meet some like-minded people who would like to catch up in the evenings/ weekends... perhaps for drinks/ dinner/ sports.

I love music, cooking, movies and generally sport/ dancing. I have recently returned to TaeKwonDo after more than a years break due to injury and have (previously) also enjoyed running and dance - including street and zumba (tentatively written under dance). Would like to think about skiing / boarding and hiking...

Definitely in need to some French language refinement (it's been more than 10years since I studied it in school) and have started Gujarati recently also.

My background is in Science, research and Veterinary Medicine and my professional interest is horses.

I think you'll find a lot of "like-minded" people around Vevey, we are less posh than in Lausanne... :-) Just kidding.

I can give you some tips regarding Vevey and its surroundings if you want but you have to tell what are your expectations. There is also a lot of good places to enjoy life, share drinks and make sport.

Last but not least, it's pretty easy to commute to ski station from Vevey, but we have to pray for snow falls... :-/

Welcome in Riviera Vaudoise, the best place ever :-)

Great that you are also in this area. I hope you enjoyed your first weeks here? I arrived about 6 weeks ago but spend 2 of them on holiday and the rest working 24/7, so I feel pretty new here as well.

If you want we could organize to meet up next week? Either during the week or on the weekend? I live in Lausanne but taking the train would b no problem.

I've never tried to ski before and will try to check out how to learn it asap.

Hi, I am also new in the in Vevey. Just started a new job in the area, working in arts and culture. I know my way around a little already, and would love to meet people for a drink, or dinner, or a weekend outing someday!

if you are interested tu run in vevey area , there is 2 club you can join.

Ill replay in french if you need to improve it. Je suis a Lausanne (Belmomt) depuis 2 mois: J'ai ete recruté au CHUV comme chirurgien et je cherche egalement des personnes avec qui pqrtqger des qctivies sportives ou culturelles ou bien simplement sociales.
