New to Geneva

Hello,

Just wanted to thank everyone for the great info on these forums. They're a big help.
I'm moving to the Geneva area (will be living in Prevessin, France at first) with the family in May. I'll be the stay at home dad with an infant and 2-and-a-half year old toddler, while my wife works. I'll also be looking for a job but know it will take a while. I'm always up for suggestions on things to be sure and do at first, play groups for the kids, etc. Thanks!

Brian

Hi!

Welcome to the area!!

There are quite a few groups etc in and around Geneva and France....PGP playgroup programme in Ferney Voltaire is great - playgroups for little ones and then a literacy programme for later on for English children who go to school in the French system.

You can also come along to Gymboree in Grand Saconnex near the airport...classes for babies and children from birth to 5 years.... I work there and you are more than welcome to come along for a free trial class with your little ones :) www.gymboree.ch

Let me know if you want any more info...
