I've been in Switzerland since January but just recently found out about glocals. I just finished my master of advanced studies in sports administration here in Lausanne and hope to be working in Switzerland soon. I also play football (American) and baseball with local clubs and football (soccer) with some friends.

Thought about Sardined Musically but it was very last minute for me.
And its exam time, so I need to get out and away to clear my head occasionally.

Hi. I am in Geneva starting 1 Sep 08 and I am looking for a soccer team(s) indoor or out or both. I'm on a co-ed and on a men's team simultaneously year round in the U.S. and will be itching to play!! Can you help? I've not seen posts about soccer in the member activities.

I'm in Lausanne and we play regularly here with a group of friends and its also very easy to find local pick-up games (small goals w/o goalies) at the university fields. We also have some full field games scheduled occasionally.
I can see two football activities for Geneva currently and although they end before your arrival I'm sure you could contact the posters about getting together in September as well. These are:
17.07 27.07 Football 107 Geneva/Geneva Sports
03.07 26.08 Indoor Football League 08/09 101 Geneva/Geneva Sports
There are also some posts in the Forum with people interested in getting together for some football as well. The search function isn't working currently so you have to use the google work-around (searching in google for ) to find them but here's one that I came up with right off the bat:
And you could always add an activity and see if there is enough interest to warrant getting a side together to play on a regular basis.

Thanks so much for the tip about the search forums function not working! I've been fumbling with that, feeling like an idiot.
I had found the post from Claude and wrote to him. Gosh, perhaps I'll make a foray into leadership/initiation in "member activities!" And if I'm heading to Lausanne, I'll ping you about your pickup game. I've a friend up there in the art school I need to visit. -duncan
