New to Lausanne....

Well, I'm currently living in a temp apartment in Vevey but I work in Lausanne. I move into my new house in Moudon in about 3 weeks time, then my 2 little terriers are coming to live with me here.

I moved here 6 weeks ago from the UK - first time living abroad, and hubby wont be joining until probably mid next year.

I am a keen runner...albeit certainly not a fast one! I love movies, reading, anything to do with animals, and I play flute and violin......so if anyone knows of an orchestra who needs violin players, please let me know.

I also love walking and am really looking forward to exploring this wonderful country and I may even be brave enough to try skiing again one day soon I especially love running and walking with my dogs - no mater what the weather!

I am not really new to Glocals (subscirbed last year when arrived in Geneva) but just moved to Lausanne and definitely looking forward to meeting new people here. Also a runner under the same conditions, but bit worrying about Lausanne's slopes since I moved here. Maybe lakeside would be more interesting :-)

Just drop a mail if you want to meet in the evening for some beers or run or both (of course any other glocals welcome! just discovering the "lausanne" forum...)

Hi Sacha
That's great! I've just got back from UK-drove over with my 2 dogs and hubby is over this week to help settle them in. Running Berlin mara next Sunday so not really around until the week after. There is a group meet up on Fridays in Lausanne for beers-Facebook site is called Lausanne beers I think. I was hoping to go week after next so would be great if you could pop along some time :)

Well, marathon completed and the free beer at the end was ost welcome!! I am plannng to do around an hour or so run on Sunday Sacha as im doing a 10 mile race in a few weeks so need to keep the runs up. Im happy to come into Lausanne and do a lke run if you fancy it? My pace will prob be around 11 min miles as im still in post recovery, so if that suits you just let me know and we can make arrangements.

Hey Folks

Im Stevie, im moving over from Scotland in January. Hoping to find a football coaching job, if not, work in a bar or something that can allow me to learn french at my own pace.

Does anyone know any rental companies that do nice flats in lausanne at reasonable prices?
