Hello to all! I am new to the Canton du Vaud, arrived in March and just finishing to settle in! I find this site really interesting and hope to get to know some folks.

I am guessing you came to Lausanne to work for either Philip-Morris, or Nestle. Am I right? :)

Not quite Nir, I work for Chiquita Brands, the banana company, which just moved the HQ to Rolle, at the the A One Business Center.

That's a first for me, to run into someone working for Chiqita.
Are you in marketing for them? We learned about you guys in Uni, in the lesson about successfully branding a commodity.

Hello and welcome to Switzerland!
Have you come straight from Costa Rica or have you been living in Germany as well?
I'm going there (CR) on holiday next month and am looking forward to seeing the beautiful unspoilt nature... any advice on what not to miss and what to avoid gratefully received!

The company is new in Switzerland as well, I think they opened the offices 7 months ago!
My job with the company is actually in Distribution/Logistics of the Bananas for Europe.

I came straight from CR, were I grew up. I have not lived in Germany for long periods, although all my roots are there!
Hope you enjoy your holidays in CR it has a lot to offer. If you want to see nature I can suggest you go to Tortuguero in Limon (Atlantic Coast) beatifull scenery. The only way to get there is by boat through the channels. Also more on the Pacific coast there is Monteverde, another national park worth the visit. Definetely you must go and see the Arenal volcano, which is active. The town close is nice and they have the hot springs also.
Just let me know what you are looking for and I can suggest you some other places.
