Hi !
I have moved to zurich a month ago along with my husband. Recently moved from US, NJ. I simply love this city, but would love it more if I have some friends to hang out with. Looking forward to meet down to earth,genuine, warm and friendly people, as that's what I am :D
I love organizing events, travelling, have done english theatre, did lot of public speaking and love watching both english and hindi movies. Sorry, I don't understand German yet. I would love to learn skiing and ice skating, but scared i'll break my leg, so still thinking whether I should take the first move ;) Any suggestions though where I could start ??
And yes, I make good Indian food,(spicy) but purely vegetarian, so anyone interested is most welcome.:)

As a fellow Jersey girl, rest assured you'll have a great time in Zurich! There are more and more events being posted from Zurich members, and our resident event organizer Ehsaan is there to keep you entertained endlessly! He's on holiday now.. but have no fear, join one of his weekly events and you'll quickly meet lots of folks from all over the world :)
Feel free to join any event that you fancy, or post an event and people will come!

Yumi, you mean the Resident "evil" event organizer?? :D LOL
Yes Neha, join one of the Wednesday night events and you will meet loads of people. The first half of January will be quiet since many of us are away on a vacation. But then things will pick up. I am back on the 18th of January and then the party begins ;)
I will also organize Ice skating and skiing/snowboarding lessons in February...
Let me know if you like to take some lessons as well...
Looking forward to speak some hindi ;)

Thanks once again for all your replies and e-mails. Appreciate them a lot. Honestly, I am already quite excited to see so many replies and interactions from people on this website in just 2 days. Thanks to glocals, I met up with 3 other friends today and went ice skating with them. Wow ! Now is'nt that quick. Love glocals for that.
And of course, I would be interested in taking ice skating as well as skiing lessons in feb. I am a definite in and so is my husband Vishal. And if you need any help in organizaing any events, let me know.
