Hi Sara,
Welcome to Geneva and welcome to glocals, the once and future great resource for expats!!!
One of the best thing to do is to look at the Things to Do and join things that strike your fancy. If you think of something that you'd like to do, you can post it as an activity and see if people will join you: a movie, drinks by the lake, running, concerts, museum visit, etc. The key is to announce it early enough so that people will see it in time to sign up.
Next, glocals also has Groups. Search there for your interests and you'll quickly find others with the same interests.
Also, check out the classifieds and Forums to answer questions: where can I buy groceries on a Sunday, where should I go with visiting friends, etc.

If you are willing to meet with other Spaniards as well, there are several FB groups (e.g. espanoles en ginebra, etc.)
