Hi Everybody!
I'll be moving to Geneva August 1: fresh college grad from London. I know nothing about the city, very little about the job (P&G) and don't speak much french :w00t: BUT more fool the adventure...
Big skiier, love to party. Appreciate any tips/intros.

Hi Carrie, hope everything is going well in London and you are looking forward to moving to Geneva on 1st August. That is actually the Swiss National Day so it is worth keeping in mind that many shops etc will probably be closed on that Friday. However the Fete de Geneve also takes place then and it is a fun time to be in town, especially if the sun is out and everyone is partying by the lake! Hope you will enjoy your stay in Geneva. There are lots of expats around, and many who are also from the UK too. Which part of London are you from? That is my home city too! When you arrive in Switzerland it is certainly worth checking out some of the Glocals events as they are a good way to get to know new people here. Best wishes, Phil.

hey heyyy! U'll be coming right on time for the "fetes de geneves"! It'll be great, lots to do around town... get in touch with me if u have any qts or just wanna come along and get a drink or smth!

Phil - I grew up in Chiswick, West London, spent my first 2 years of uni on the southbank (behind the Tate Modern) and currently in Angel :). Thanx for the tip about the glocals events...will be sure to check them out.

You’re in luck.
Suisse has a lot more snow than Richmond park!
Pegs and I are from W4 and we organise the glocals ski group in winter and sailing, waterskiing and BBQ’s in summer
Ring us when you arrive on 021 963 3385 or send us your normal email to [email protected] for any help when you arrive
