Howdy ladies and gents,


 


My Name is David,


 


Im from minneapolis, Minnesota originally but am living and going to school in San Francisco at a small design and art school.  I will be moving to the geneva area (looking for something outside the city)  I.E. Vaud canton or france but complications with student visa and living in france?  


Looking to get outside, go for a bike ride, or meet up and go on a hike and drink some wine.


 


I am planning on buying a car upon arrival so I get get up to Chamonix as much as possible!

Hi David,


Welcome to Switzerland! I'm sure you will love what Switzerland and France have to offer in regards to outdoor activities as well as wine :) You can go skiing, snowboarding, hiking, climbing, etc., then in the summer you can do all sorts of activities on, in and around the lake - It's great for outdoor enthusiasts, I love it!

You sound like an active guy, which is great. We just got our first dump of snow yesterday and so hopefully we'll be ready for you when you arrive.


Glocals will help you find like-minded people quickly and easily. Make sure you have a look at the Things To Do tab at the top and also the Forums to ask questions. The classifieds might help you find a room/apt, but be VERY careful of scams. (Don't send money before arriving. If you need someone to have a look, let me know. I'll check it out for you, first.)


Kudos to you, Sarah, for being a relative newcomer to glocals and already helping people out. That's really what glocals is all about - people helping people.

Congratulations on moving to Switzerland! If you are an outdoor person (which you seem to be), you will love it! Glocals is also a great place to meet new people and get active so you are in the right spot.
