Servus from Bavaria
(my hands are still trying to get used to holding these small wine glasses instead of beer steins)

Hello, I'm glad to have discovered this site finally. I find I have neglected my social life a bit the last few months (sobsob), so I here I am!

Hope to meet some of you soon to have a glass of wine or even a Gipfelschoki (= the obligatory piece of chocolate when arriving at the top of a mountain, for me one of the best things in life :-))

Cheers, Gudrun

In my experience they also serve beer in little tiny glasses here, so maybe it's best to stick to the wine :) Can't go wrong with the chocolate though!

Welcome to GoL.

Thanks for the warm welcome :-)

Hope to see you soon, Gudrun

P.S.:
Serving the beer in these tiny glasses is quite an insult to a real Bavarian, they would have to use 2 or 3 glasses for one single draught!!
