Shy newbies in Geneva

Greetings fellow GoL'ers! I'm a recent member to Geneva online and figured it was about time to introduce myself. I moved to Geneva from the US a few months ago to be with my husband. We're both rather shy people and thus haven't had too much luck meeting new people outside of work. We're also in desperate need of improving our French. We're hoping GoL will be just what we need to make new friends and improve our social life...Cheers!

You found the right website and GoL is a great way to get to know new people in Switzerland! The events on the member activities board are worth checking out, plus there is a wide range of topics for discussion in the forums which is also a good way to become familiar with the community. Thanks for writing the good introduction and it reminds me that learning French is still on my "to do" list! Welcome and best wishes, Phil.
