I'm going to be moving to Lausanne at the beginning of December before I start work at EPFL. I'm eager to start work, meet people and have some fun skiing.
I'm also looking for a place to live in Lausanne and I hear the rental market is really scary! If you are looking for a roomate I'd be keen. Or if you are trying to move out Dec or Jan 1st I would love the opportunity to take over your lease... Please PM me if you have any leads. Here's hoping I won't be sleeping in my tent!
So, other than worrying about being homeless I'm also looking forward to doing some skiing. I telemark ski and have done a few backcountry trips in Canada but I also love to ski at the resort.

stumbled on this as i look for telemark things in switzerland..
i have been here a few yrs ..in geneva,,and telemark..
hope u have found somewhere to live..

That sounds fantastic, once I get settled I'll send you an e-mail. I'd love to learn about where to ski. However, first I'll have to buy some skis... anyone have any suggestions for where to buy?
