Swiss-American couple moving to Swiss Romande

Hi everyone:


My wife and I are moving to Swiss Romande on May 1.  We've been living for the last five years in Washington, DC, and are very much looking forward to being back in Europe.  I work in international public health policy advocacy and my wife is in humantarian assistance. 


Although we have some Swiss friends (Marie is Swiss), we're really looking forward to plugging into the expat community and making new friends! We enjoy outdoor activities and partying.  :-)


Now for my "ask":  we can't decide between living in Geneva and Lausanne.  Any advice?


I hope to meet many of you in the coming months,

lausanne...but it depends on your commute and transportation options. 


 


Lausanne is much more "SWISS", closer to the ski resorts, mountain villages "leysin, vully" and much more of a cheaper option to live.

Between:-) . Morges,Rolle ,Nyon ect are very nice places .. But of course  like Paul says  it depends on your commute and transportation options.
