Hi! I will be interning at the WHO this summer in Geneva from May until the end of July. I'm looking for a place to live for 3 months and roommates to live with. If anyone knows of a place or will be interning this summer let me know!

When looking for temporary furnished accomodation you ought to look at tag "Classifieds", then Housing for rent, sublets, on Glocals' and other Geneva websites.
Meanwhile you ALSO should communicate with your future colleagues to browse through WHO intranet and search housing opportunities waiting for you within your maximum budget.

Hey Andrew,
That sounds like a great idea! What part of the WHO will you be interning in? Have you found a place to live yet? I got a spot at the Cite Universitaire de Geneve for 1000 CHF a month. It's a good backup to have in case you can't find anything cheaper.

Thanks!

Hi Keri,
I've only looked at a lot of the dorm type residences so far (called foyers) but majority of them are full. I got a spot in the dormitories (single room, shared bathrooms and kitchen) for the university housing but they have apartments and studios as well, although more expensive!

Awesome, thanks! How did you get a spot without being a student there? It looked like you had to be affiliated with the university in some way to get a room.

I read on their website that they accept tourists during the university holiday (July and August) but there might also be availability before then and just to send a reservation request. You have to give your credit card info but if they have no availability they will not charge your credit card. If they do then they will charge for 3 nights (as a damage deposit), so for me they charged 150 CHF. So I sort of just tried my lucky really and got it!
