What a surprise, new intern in Geneva! :-)

Hello everybody! Smile This is Mila, 23, from Bulgaria, currently a master student in Paris, soon to be moving to Geneva... On April 16th I'm starting my internship at the ILO, and I couldn't be more excited!

I can't wait to have new experiences and meet new people in Geneva! However my main concern right now seems to be finding accommodation... I'm looking for a studio which would match with my tiny-intern-salary, which seems to be a rather difficult task Undecided Can someone give me some advice about finding a place to live?

Hello Yoann, nice to meet you!

Yes I'm also looking for a shared flat, thanks for the advice :) It's definitely taking me quite some time to orient and figure out what's the situation...

Good morning,

As Yoann said, the classieds on Glocals can be good. You can also try to contact Gerpar, http://www.gerpar.ch/PagesEn/Residences.htm. They rent studios.

All the best!

Hello Sophie, thanks for replying! I contacted Gerpar, but they have no availabilities unfortunately :/

Stephanie, this is an excellent suggestion! I registered this morning and I will take a more detailed look this evening.

Can someone recommend a good paper guide for Geneva? I'm excited about going... I got the Cartoville one which has foldout maps and some recommendations about bars and restaurants, but not a lot of info about the history of the city, or the different neighbourhoods, etc. Which is your preferred printed tour guide for Geneva?
