What happens when you get a longer contract and ... ?
Hi everybody,

probably I'm not the only one in this situation, but I would suggest you to think about sth for a moment: what happens when you get a longer contract/renewal at work and all your friends don't? Three months ago you had a great group of friends, more than 20 people, with which you had fun all around Geneva... you saw all of them going away, going back to their own countries and continents and now, suddenly, just after Xmas holiday, you realize that you are alone again in the cold Geneva!

It's crazy, but probably it's jsut me that it is surprised by this. Anyway, give me a chat if you want to expand my "new" group of friends...

Have a nice cold working day...

by signing up on Glocals. I'm sorry for the departure of your group of friends, the best remedy is to find another one asap and Glocals is the best place for this! Check the member activities, take part and enjoy!

You are not the only one on this club. This is one of the question mark about Geneva international community. Most of the time "these kind of situation" make things very superficial too.

So give it to try as belows:

1.Try to meet local glocals.
2.Glocals who speaks French ( mother tongue).
3.Who has longer contact and has a plan to settle in Geneva.

Hey, I totally understand where you are coming from. I have been in Geneva for 2 months on a 6 month contract, I am finding it easy to meet people through, glocals and through work, bur scare them off when I say I am only here for 6 months, making it very difficult to make friends. I understand that this must happen, so often and I think it is important that you meet in big groups and there will a better range of people. This is just something special that Geneva has to offer... you should see it as a positive to meet new friends.
