Bonjour tout le monde, I am a Scottish-born foreign political and war correspondent and novelist based in Africa and I am coming with my wife and youngest son to Lausanne as a fellow at EPFL. I'll be arriving in the middle of May and the family in July. I'll be in the architecture faculty at EPFL putting together an initiative on African future cities. I favour culture, literature and the outdoors, tennis, fresh food, among other things. 

I am still looking for a studio apartment, a room in a pension or even a house-sit from May 15 to July 15 or August 1, by which time I hope to have found a more permanent apartment. Any tips on temporary apartments would be most welcome. Merci beaucoup,
