HI there my name is Joelle and I'm 18 (not 23 like my profile says - i couldnt select my birth year it wasnt an option...!) Im new to geneva - just arrived the beginning of september. Im being an au pair for a year and learning french before going to uni next year. Im looking to meet some friendly people as being an au pair can get quite lonely as im discovering.so feel free to email me or something - my browser doesnt support the chat function... need to get firefox! hopefully speak soon :-)

Welcome to Geneva! Im an au pair too, and youre very right- it does get lonely very quickly! This site is awesomem for meeting people though. Make sure you get to one of Sherri's New Member Drink nights- theyre lots of fun, and you meet wonderful people (whom youre guaranteed to have at least one thing in common with... ;) ) Sign up quick as spots go fast!

I'm an au pair, too, and I just got here, so I know exactly how you're feeling. I hope everything is working out for you. Let me know if you ever want to go exploring. I have no clue where anything is yet, but I'm trying to figure it out.

Thankyou! the family is lovely to me so im really enjoying my experience so far... Just finding it a little hard to separate work from home is its in the same place! When do the new member drinks take place I'd love to come along... is it posted in the member activites section?
