Hey!
Im Andy, just moved from the Uk. Want to be close to the mountains and hopefully build a career within the adventure tourism industry.
Studying in Geneva right now, French in the centre of the city.
I would be keen to meet and mountain bikers, skiers (or snowboarders :-p), hikers or climbers who would be up for going outside and having fun. And if you speak French it would be a bonus, i really need and want to learn this language.
All the best people!

Hi Andy,
In addition to the hikes offered by GOLers, there are plenty of other hiking groups in Geneva and surroundings, from Val Ferrata to senior walkers. You certainly have heard about the Club Alpin Suisse. Just to mention two of them with which I hike regularly:
Association Genevoise des Amis du Sal?ve http://www.rando-saleve.net/ meets every Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at bus stop Veyrier Douane, crosses the border and goes up the Saleve. No need to register, just show up.
Oxygene 74 http://perso.orange.fr/rando-74/ is a small club organises hikes in Haute Savoie, at different levels (700 to 1700 metres of "denivellation". Common transport in cars usually from Moellesulaz border. You need to register in advance.
Cheers,
Kassari = Bert (Dutch mountain fan)
