looking for activities/new friends
Hi.. not an expat in Geneva but a Genevan looking for expanding her social network with expats...and enjoy new activities... who knows, there are places you know that I don't and vice-versa and could be fun to discover them together.. the more the merrier.

I like to meet new people, go out and do outdoors activities.. see you then

Hi Martine,

To speak the truth, it's very strange to see here a true "Genevean", though it's quite welcomed!!

Well, I am a young student and we'll be here in Geneva somewhere till the end of 2008.

I would love to meet new people, especially "Genevians", since so far I know only 2 or 3 true "Geneveans".

I am a funny person and would be more than happy to help you with anything I can. For example, I can try to repair your bike, tune up your pc, or etc. or we can simply listen to some music together, explore the city or something else.

Yours,

Rustam

P.S. How do we say an inhabitant of Geneva in English? Is there a special word for it? The only thing I could figure out was "Geneveans". Thanks!

Hi Martine,

I am Gebi, tuesday latin dance teacher at Calle Luna for evryboday, Genevois and Expat.

I have just gone for a walk in this forum and saw your message.

First, they say in French "Genevois"

second, "Genevois", the truth is a rare commodity unless having made the school or the university in Geneva.

As you know it, Geneva is an international city and there is strong chance to meet "Genevois", during activities organized here and in summer, sports events: rollerblade Slow dance Up on Sunday, August 3rd, Sindy party, etc...

in my part, I move a lot and have opportunities to meet some then if you have instants of free, we shall cross in international Geneva.

Hope to see you!

Cheers

Georgy

Hi Martine

I am relatively new to this site, but not to Switzerland. So, have you found any new activities to do or places to go to?

I used to work in the vicinity of Geneva occasionally.

Cheers

Mike

Hi Martine,

Welcome to glocals!

Actually, Swiss members are the 1 biggest nationality on glocals...Here's a break out of the top nationalities of glocals members:

  • Swiss: 11%
  • UK: 10%
  • US: 9%
  • France: 8%
  • Germany: 8%
  • Italy: 6%
  • Canada: 5%

As for meeting new folks: you really came to the right place...(-: Just check out the stuff happening on Member-Activities, or post an activity of your own and see who's up for joining.
