Hi! What is a social entrepreneur?

I am willing to meet concerning social entrepreneurship. I am visiting Lausanne March 7 to 12.

My definition of social entrepreneurship is to develop various social media websites for the purpose of networking, such as Glocals has done, or to expand Glocals website for profit purposes.

Hi Khan. The answer to your question can be whatever comes to mind. I already shared my definition. Someone else shared their definition which was: meeting like minded people to possibly expand their network of friends or colleagues, or to develop social bonds for specific reasons.

I reached out to old friends of similar age and backgrounds that live in different parts of the world. I asked them whether any are willing to share their homes for a season, in exchange for me sharing my home during the same season.

None of my friends of 30 plus years were willing to entertain the thought. Therefore I have chosen to seek out new socially mind people who are more open-minded.

I have a professional expertise that may be useful to someone or group. But when I asked my friends of 30 plus years if they would share their useful expertise with me, they were shy or thought the subject matter was ridiculous, for they were or are not socially minded people. They are fair weather acquaintances, or to be precise, they are transactional people, as opposed to what I seek, which are relational or communal relationships.
