Yo!


I reckon you should increase the number of characters in the Additional Interests box. Currently that field seems limited to NOTMANY, whereas i feel a more appropriate number of characters would be QUITEALOT.


You only give us six options and I'm not interested in any of them -- I only ticked one because there is a red star by that field and the page wouldn't let me change something else unless i did. Some people, on the other hand, have lists of interests as long as your arm, and it would be courteous to let the express themselves in this electronic void.

Also the status thing is strange.


It only offers some set, limited possibilities, why?


Who can tell from my profile what mine is as I had to tick "other with children" - which can be interpreted in many strange, improper, probably also ugly ways.


We know this isn't a dating site but still some margin could be allowed there.

@ Hayes - we're working on making the freetext interests field more user friendly and searchable


@ Wisdom - we can easily add additional 'Marital Status' options to the list - which options would you like us to add?


@ Robi - while the 'Marital Status' field is limited, you can add your freetext 'status' by going to your profile page and clicking on 'Edit Status'

No need to overdo it -- just change 200 to something like 2000. that'd do.

I was thinking more in the line of :


 


() other with pets other than cats


() other with one or more cats


() other with one or more cats plus one kid


() other with one or more cats plus one or more kids...


() thinking about it - will leave you a message as and when appropriate


Let me know if you find this suggestion applicable.

Actually I'm one of those who's "undergoing" a status change, that's why it's a little bit awkward.
