A person should have a limit to the number of people with whom one can maintain stable social relationship and it goes on decribing the same for social websites :)

There does indeed seem to be an issue with the chat for people with a large number of friends.

We're working on fixing it and will update when the prob is solved.

@manu i'm trying to troubleshoot a problem with the chat system. it would be much more helpful if you actually answered the question.

I have to type fast... as my browser keeps refreshing! But to answer your question (I can't post either) I have 113 friends and chat works, then doesn't, then works, then doesnt'. I thought this might be linked to the fact that it's a work pc and the problem for me is the whole page refreshing, bringing me back to the home page and starting the chat up again. It seems to work fine on my laptop at home...

The chat works with me, the problem is every few minutes the page is automatic refreshing and all of a sudden you lost your chat window.

41 friends, chat works, but it doesn't remove the online friends, who go offline, from the list, unless I log off and back in. It doesn't have the refresh bug, that Alison described.

Can usually post, but not consistently - and I have to leave it "sending" for at least 3 mins to be sure that the post was sent.

94 friends -- chat works with some but not others -- posting was nearly impossible 2 days ago, now working better.. Seems also to depend how many friends have chat function open...

40 people. Chat is working now, didn't check before, wasn't missing it.

90 friends - CHAT WORKS

I see them all the time and speak to most of them regularly (lovely to meet you last night, "Slut Walk Sandrine"!) over a glass of wine or on a hike or a bike ride, or down by the plage - so no problem at all with "chatting" - in fact been critisised for chatting too much - can't win!.
