Site thinks IE8 is IE6 and complains

I'm using IE8, but the site keeps telling me (every time I get a new page), that I am using IE6. Sure IE6 shouldn't be supported, but it ought to know that I am using IE8...

I am having the same problem i.e. IE8 incorrectly reconginsed as IE6.

This does not look as an isolated issue.

I started getting the same warning yesterday. It comes up each time I click into a new page.

I use IE8 but the warning reads that the site is not optimized for IE6 and that I should upgrade my browser.
