The Glocals widget for Android

I have just uploaded to Android market the first version of my Glocals widget. The minimum supported OS version is 1.6. Here is the direct link to market https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tsaplin.android.glocals.widget&feature=search_result. You can install it directly from you phone by searching marker for "Glocals Widget".


Here is the description copied from market:
"This is a simple widget for the Swiss social network called Glocals. It will provide you with 5 most important values such as the number of new messages you have in your inbox, the number of friend invites pending, the number of events you are invited to attend, the number of events you are going to attend and the number of group invites. The widget updates its values every 15 minutes. In its right upper corner it has a status led showing the status of the last update whether it was successful - green, unsuccessful (possibly due to some network failure) - red, and when the update is running it comes blue. A single tap on the widget shows up a dialog with 2 buttons. First one is to start an update immediately and second one is to open Glocals web site in your mobile browser."

No problem, Nir. I am just challenging myself this way. Once I have a bit more free time I'll try to improve the widget. I have some ideas how.


My site is actually mentioned on my profile in the Contact Details section (www.tsaplin.com). It's new and not fully stuffed with content but already usable.

I donwloaded the widget - thanks alot for creating it.


Right now the widget just lets me know if I have new updates - when I connect to glocals I'm still connecting via the regular mobile browser - correct?

I downloaded the widget from the market but after installing on my phone, I cant see it?? I have android as my OS. Anything else I should know?
