so what is the method of posting an image hosted somewhere else? i think i've missed this entirely.

the old ubb like way?

or only by saving the photo and using the boxes at the bottom?

On OSX clicking browse will only allow me to navigate to paths on my filesystem. There is no space to paste a path (or URL) explicitly. Bollocks.

Yeah, it's a terminal-based browser. It fell out of popularity when pornography became more important than anything else on the internet

Seriously, posting an image directly from the web - instead of having to first load it to your PC - is a good thing. We'll see how we can make it happen.

The links to reply in a thread are javascript links.They don't work with lynx and w3m (the other console-based browser).And even if it wasn't javascript, I'm not sure if the DHTML popup window would actually work.As i found out, it doesn't even work with Safari on the iPhone (but seems to work with Safari on Mac OSX).

I did actaully manage to get further than than. As hopefully I am demonstrating now...
Now I take a screenshot and see if I can upload it...

Also Nir, opening up some kind of tag-based method of image posting would let you control where you put the pictures. You know : image - text - image - text. I reckon that's quite important.
