I have the same problem. All other sites work fine, and only Glocals muddles up. I mainly use Google Chrome for Web surfing, but when I try to switch to Explorer or Firefox, the problem remains still. However I've noticed that it often occurs in the evening ( after 6pm approx.). In the morning the site goes quite smoothly ….

No problems here and I use firefox!
No problem for me with Firefox.
It's bad for me (unusable): Once logged in I get into an infinite loop connecting with www.glocals.com and glocals.shakeapp.com and it never stops.
One more reason to abandon Firefox in favour of IE (ha ha).

It happens to me from time to time. Have you tried reloading the page? At least it works for me!

I'm still with your earlier post... Most odds are, no matter what - if you got a problem in the computer, internet, or daily life - Vista is probably the reason.

I still can't read my emails whether I'm using Safari or Firefox (MacOS Snow Leopard), I get to the Inbox and then no matter how many times I'm clicking on the email, it won't open :(
Any idea why or how I can fix it?
Thanks
Phoebs

Hey all,
I'm one of the guys helping run glocals.com. Thanks for all the feedback.
glocals on FF runs well for me, but that doesn't mean there isn't an issue. And Epicure's solution with the Java consoles will help us identify the issue.
Epicure, Sam, Yaron, Phoebe, Bijtow, Yannik: if you know which version FF you're using, could you pls let me know via this forum?
Thanks again,
Nir

Hey Nir,
For me, running Safari 4.0.5 and FF 3.5.9
Thanks
Phoebe
Hi Phoebe
Clearing your browser cache might solve this issue:
1. Open up the Safari Web browser.
2. Click on the heading 'Safari' and choose 'Empty Cache' from the pull down menu. It will then ask you if you really want to delete the cache.
3. Click on 'Empty'.
Once Safari is done clearing the cahce, close the browser window, open a new window, and login to glocals again.
Go to your inbox and let me know if you're now able to see your message.
Thanks
Oded

I'm on Windows 7 FF v3.6.3 with AdblockPlus, login is fine, then the URL bar has:
http://www.glocals.com/#/zurich/
in it, and all I gert on the page is the light blue bar at the bottom, but with no friends online tab nor the video button.
That's where it loops forever.
I tried emptying the cache but it's made no difference.

Hey,
Am running FF 3.6.3 on Mac OS X 10.6.3. I'm not sure if it's really a Javascript problem but I definitely see some warnings and errors in my console, even though everything seems to work fine.
I can read my messages on Safari (4.0.5) but there's a small CSS bug : the number of friends does not appear at the same level as Inbox. I can send you screenshots if needed.
Cheers,
Yannick

I get only the chat (?) bar - the blue bar at the bottom which normally has Friends online(n) and a button that says Video.
The rest is pure fresh clean white, none of the normal orange anywhere :-)
Thanks

Unfortunately this won't be a very helpful answer, because I generally use IE and only now and again try firefox with the sites I regularly use (I would like to get away from IE one day).
I have a recollection that it didn't work a while back, but couldn't say when, sorry.

ff ver- 3.6.3
windows vista
all ok now after the java console fix
I have Firefox 3.6.3 and Vista, and I tried on safari too. I cannot use the chat facility and if I click on the friends box, it pops up but has a continual loading mode. It has always been fine up to 2 weeks ago....

Glocal's site unreliable on Firefox... I see Nick Clegg's fingerprints all over this.

Hi, I have firefox 3.6.3 and 3.6.4 running and sadly glocals isnt very happy there. Not sure if it's a java thing since i have been able to remove the java add-ons altogether without any change whatsoever. The 'Things to do' tab is blank other than the orange tabs at the top and the side banner (so all the individual events are nonexistent) and forums can be read but not replied to. The forum reply is definitely a java hang since i can see the expected action when hovering on the 'reply' button.

Hi guys and thanks for the feedback.
I use Firefox 3.5.9 and have no probs at all.
@Hucklewoo - you mentioned that you removed the java add ons - does that mean you disabled Java scipt?
Thanks
Oded

Hi Oded, no, Java is still enabled, i just tried removing and reinstalling the java console to see if it made any diffence and it didnt. Weirdly, the things to do all appear on the home tab, just not on the things to do tab. It's clearly a java issue though because the javascript:popup_reply(0) works fine in IE but not in firefox.

sorry, I have no idea. However i can tell you firefox on a mac is no problem at all, it's only the bl**dy Vista version that causes problems. Obviously.

i just upgraded to windows 7 and all works fine. i just refused the java upgrades and continued with the java application that was running fine on vista after having cleared the java history.
