doesnt seem to work for me. If I set my status to busy on the home page and then navigate to another tab (forums etc.), if I then go back to home page the status reverts automatically to online

invitations that you accept seem to count for these 5, i.e. i can't even invite 5 people a day if i accept others' invitations

We will keep the 5 invites per day limit for a day or 2, till we finish dealing with the bugs.

After that, we will allow more invites so people can rebuild their networks.

Hey Nisa.

Please try this:
Go the the Homepage, let the page download completely (dont do anything for 15 seconds)
Then set your status to busy, and let the page download completely again.
Then go to another page, and let me know if the Busy status is saved or not.

In any case, whenever you logout and then login again, the default will be Online.

Haven't tried yet, but what happens if you decline someone's invitation? Do they get informed or does it just show that nothing has happened yet to their request? I mean, saying 'no' to someone out-right would be awful! :-o ...and what happens if you want to take someone off again? :-O

When I'm on my Friends Network page and want to use the search function, I get a message saying that there is no member found with this name (even if I'm sure of the username!).
Otherwise, great job! Except that it's not working on Firefox (which I very much prefer to IE!!!) - see postings above.

If someone invites you and you say no, you will get a pop-up asking if you are sure that you want to say no, and allowing you to add some text explaining why you are saying no.

The person who invited you will be notified that you said no, and the notification mail will include any free-text you added.

You also have an option to Ignore an invitation.
If you click on Ignore, the invitation will disaear and the person who invited you will not receive any notice.

In any case, if you say no or ignore an invitation, the person who invited you will not be able to invite you again for 30 days.

Please et me know if any of the things I wrote here are not happening.

If you select Busy as your status on the Homepage, your profile will show up, but instead of saying Online/Chat, your profile will say Busy.

If you select Only my Friends can Chat with me, then non-friends looking at your profile will see Busy, while friends see Online.

When you are in the My Friends Network page, the search function will only search amongst the people in your Network.

So, the person you are looking for may be in the system, but you will have to search for him/her in the Members Section rather than the My Network Section.

Trying to see if there are any new faces in Lausanne - supposedly 199 members - all I can get is the 1st page up... when clicking on the next one and the next etc etc, all I get is the same people even if it says that the page is showing members 20-40, 40-60 etc... :-o

If you look at your own profile when you have set "who can see your network" to "only my friends", then you can't see your own friends!

An existing friend has invited me to rejoin her Friends. I have followed the link and clicked on Yes but nothing happens, no follow-up screen saying it's been done. It still shows as a Pending Invitation. Where am I going wrong?

When I go to the next page I see the same profiles from the page before even though the numbers at the top of the page indicate they are new people; i.e. 1-20 of 40. Some people who are online do not have a profile that shows up on the pages. Is this a new feature or a bug???

hey there i tried to forward a post on a forum to some of my friends, and it is not working.

After being higlhy disappointed yesterday (I accepted 5 invite and then couldn;t send out anymore!!!) ...
I tried this trick today: sending out 10 invites on my own before accepting any, then start accepting .. and so far so good. I can accept as many invite as I want to.

The rest seems to work, haven't tried the chat function thou.

if you accept an invitation, it counts as an invite. If you received 5 invitations in 1 day, your self can no longer add friends. So, is this really how it works?

I use the latest version of Firefox. It seem that I'm not the only one encountering this problem...
Nothing happens when i click on links. Some script appears down left on the screen on the info line of the browser: "JavaVoid(0)", something like that.

Hey there! Just realized there's a but when I want to see the members online .. or the members in general.
I click on the number of memebers online .. i see 1 page. I click on page 2 .. I see the same page ... so. .. I have no clue on who else is online. Happened with total memebers as well.

Also, can't scroll down the profiles!

why don't you ignore the request? can be less 'drastic' then refusing .. and if u meet that person for the next 2 weeks and then want to add him/her .. you don't need to wait 30 days!

Birthdays is a great idea, but we can only see three and that makes it tough to plan ahead.

In addition to the three, could we have a link to a page showing all our friend's birthdays. Or could birthdays be shown on friend's profiles?

ok, i have a question. in that paper that you put up a while ago i read, that i will be able to see if iam connected to someone i don´t know through one of my friends in my friends list.

so here is the thing. i have nir in my list of friends, when i click on user getget, who is not on my list of friends, it should say you are connected through nir, since get get is one of nir´s friends. this is not the case or did i understood something wrong here?

at least that's the way i see it.

Once someone signs up as a friend, their birthday is shown to you on the home-page ...but it disappears once others come in.
Is this info lost? Or are we reminded a day or so before someone's b'day comes up? :-)

Just curious - as I've got a terrible memory for such things! :-D

A good Firefox alternative (aside from IE!!) is Maxthon. I haven't used it a lot but it seems quicker than FF (1.5 and 2.0) and a bit more stable. It has the added advantage of working with GoL 2.0.

I believe it's Windows only. Check it out at www.maxthon.com

In any case, congrats to the GoL gang on the useful site additions.
