Today (Wed, Sep 6) we deleted 90 GoL profiles of members who:
- were not active (did not log on once in past 8 weeks)
- had text on their profile that was not approved for 8 weeks
It's another part of our efforts to ensure that only folks who want to be an active part of the community are indeed on the community.
We're still thinking of how to solve this long term: all ideas welcome...

a 3 strikes and you are out with regards to complaints. If people complain about his or her behaviour he or she will soon get kicked out. How about that ?

Wouldn't this allow bad-mouth attacks (very known in reputation systems)? Anyway this will cope with misbehaving users, not with inactive users.

as the community grows, it seems to raise some tech issues, some community issues... Will the rate of ideas grow too ?
Anyway at the same time great events happen, friendship pours out of GoL for real!
