What about "Last Logged in Date range" on profiles?
Hey guys.

What do you think about us adding a persons Last Login date (without an exact date, just a range), on his/her profile?

This means that when you see a profile, you will see something like:
Last Login: Past week / past 2 weeks / past month / past 3 months / more than 3 months ago

What think?

Oded

Not only we'd be able to see if the person was active or relatively active, we'd also be able to see if the person had just put up a profile for amusement on a dull and dreary rainy day (as I've already mentioned in past forums) - and then, Oded could knock them out after a certain lapse of time! Way to go! Cheers! :-) J.

so we can see when ppl logged in last time, if they are still active, if they have decided not to be active anymore ...
sounds a cool idea to me :)

A "last log-in date range" is a great idea. Other networking sites (e.g. MySpace) do something similar, yet they put the exact date on your profile page. Prefer the GoL idea of the "range" rather than the exact date....either way, I think it is a positive step forwards.

"member since" ..., as it goes more or less in the same category, knowing if people are active or not.

It's not so usefull as long as we know that most members are active ones. Which is the reason why I really like the idea of an "away button" for heavy travellers, ONG field professionals or people in rehab for instance. I also like the idea of having an email sent to members who didn't logged in for 2 months (4 weeks can be just holidays) asking them to renew / cancel their membership.

How about also adding to the profile since when people are members?

Thanks to all those who took the time to share feedback. It seems the idea will be useful, so we'll make it happen in one of the next upgrade rounds.
