Extreme right involvement?

Norwegian news source NRK report that shootings at Labor Party youth retreat appear to have been perpetrated by a Norwegian national dressed as a policeman..

"Professor Tore Bjørgo at the Police College said earlier tonight that these bloody attacks can come from other communities than Islamist - not least because witnesses Utøya says that the man who shot at people wearing police clothes, had a Nordic look. In addition, the attack directed against a political youth organization.

- I have consistently kept the possibility open that this might be the extreme-right, says Bjørgo."

here's a video link posted by the telegraph to a video supposedly made by the suspect. it's interesting to note how similar the views expressed in this video are to the ideology that it professes to oppose (islamofascism).

same old story, extremist with a pathological capacity for self pity that eclipses his/her ability to give two shits about anyone else.

I was trying unsuccessfuly this morning to post that at the cbc.ca news website commentators on the original reports were postulating Muslim terrorism. With the later reports on the story they are interestingly absent, these Muslim bashers.

Extremist is not a word I like to use because it is so frequently used in western propaganda against 'resistance fighters', but in this case I don't know what other word to use to describe this extreme criminal behaviour.

I can only watch bits at a time it is so sick. It's like trying to read Mein Kampf - after a few pages you just get so bored and nauseated with the idiot realism and mythology of these great cultures of the past that have been destroyed by all sorts of conspirators. These pure races of greatness never existed but that's not relevant to these types.

It's a pastiche of words and especially images (a good propagandist knows to appeal to emotion more than to reason), the likes of which I've seen plenty in recent years espousing all sorts of violent, xenophobic violent ideologies.

Truly sad that all those innocents and their families suffered. All the more reason to oppose individually, collectively and politically as well in schools and media (everywhere) any sort of intolerance of the other (immigrants, refugees, Roma etc.). It's a slipperry slope.

As Pastor Niemoller wrote:

First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me
