Beer & Ben Harper + wonderfull weather + quite a nice bunch of friendly GOLers = the good mix for a great evening yesterday night.
Thanks to Rick for bringing us together and to everyone for keeping us more or less together in the crowd thanks to numerous SMSs, phone calls and even smoke signals (yes, I saw them !). Sorry we left you behind for the Ben Harper concert, but Robin is such a great "crowd-breaker" she dragged us in no time at the 3rd row, just in front of the band... leaving about 40'000 spectators behind us. Surprisingly enough, I didn't enjoy the concert that much. The music was nice (too many basses however) and the performers were great. But I missed a feeling, some more interaction. For me, the concert really "started" when the drummer came front stage... 10 minutes before the end of the show. Nice evening anyway. Thanks to you for having shared some (Corinne, Val, Katri, Robin, Nigel, Hsien, Jeff, JackieChan, etc.) or all of it (Rick) with me !
PS: from your point of view, which one from the Swiss Army Knife of the Swiss Beer Handler deserves the greatest design award ? ;-P

thou I wasn't in the mood at all. I guess the lack of sleep and excessive partying might have influenced that. I loved all the part with the Bass player (ROck!!!) ... and the drums .. and Ben Harper is always great to see. Had somewhat the impression that after such a long day ppl were too tired/stoned/drunk to enjoy (the crowd) ... but I liked it anyway.
Hope u had fun in the 3rd row ... we decided to stay midway :)

both you guys were there and I didn't see you! I even hung out with Rick and his group for some of the time before getting lost.
Brilliant night, Ben was truly amazing.

Hey man although I do agree that a little more crowd interaction would have been cool, the show was amazing! And 3rd row! That's one of the reasons I love Paleo. You can get that close!
Anyway, it was great hanging out with everybody even if we all got split up a bunch of times! It was a great time!
Ciao,
Rick
